What Is a Bicolor British Shorthair?

A bicolor British Shorthair combines any solid color — blue, black, chocolate, lilac, or red — with white markings, most typically on the face, chest, and paws. The result is a classic, graphic look that highlights the British Shorthair's round face and dense coat in a distinctly different way to solid-color cats. The contrast between the solid color and the bright white markings gives bicolor British Shorthairs a bold, almost symmetrical appearance that draws immediate attention.

Bicolor is a broad category. A blue and white bicolor — sometimes called a blue bicolor — is one of the most popular combinations.
